I call it the Shire.
But really, it's nothing more than a little green nook of hanging branches and gleaming underbrush--and beyond it, a field full of golden rods, hemmed in on the farthest corner by dark pines. It's my recently discovered new refuge (I've finally braved to venture there after six years of living in this development), and the only bit of land that's half-way country looking that I have right now, that I can go to when I just need to.
And it's perfect for photo shoots.
I grabbed my Canon Rebel today and took some shots of my sister in "the field" behind our "Shire" in her purple gown. So dramatic.
I love October immensely.
And nice, clear, up close shots.
