I have a new love. A new love, and it's summer-perfect. Road side stands, brimming with gorgeous flowers in frilly pinks and soulful purples, baskets and wagons full of juicy peaches, sweet peppers, deep-red tomatoes, and giant watermelons. It's good for the heart of this city girl, especially when the stand is tucked away on a country road with a red barn and cornfields across the street, and an Amish school house in the background. It's peaceful and beautiful, with not a sound or a care for miles. I didn't want to leave it.

My other love... our newest fictional character, Jace Cahill. Michaela and I come up with so may new stories, so many new and interesting characters all the time, it's ridiculous. But even if we never get their sagas on paper, it's a mysterious, beautiful world to have made-up people living inside your head 24/7. Jace, a nineteen-year-old Confederate soldier, is not as unique as René is, but he's terribly entrancing with his celestial blue eye and developing story full of the dramas of the Civil War war-- things that thrill my writers spirit. I approve of his awesomeness.

The last of my loves-- which could more appropriately dubbed "addictions": pinterest.com (FOLLOW ME!) and chocolate chip cookies with potato chips in them. And this place. I. Want. To. Go.

I'm realizing lately that there is also a spiritual busy, much as there is the busyness of life we face everyday. Last weekend mom, Michaela, and myself went to one of Sarah Mally's (author of Before You Meet Prince Charming) Bright Lights conference for two days-- and while I am already familiar with what she teaches, and uphold these convictions and principles of modesty and purity very strongly, it was a wonderful time of being refreshed and encouraged, seeing other like-minded ladies... and, heh, eating a shameful amount of food. =)

My mom is awesome, btw. I was feeling down the other day, and she brought me out for a frozen mocha and some spontaneous shopping. Our local cupcake shop? And the cupcakes within it? That's awesome, too. Especially the yellow-cake one with chocolate chips inside, and chocolate frosting with more chocolate chips on top. Cupcakes win in my book. So does this. Yep, this also is awesome. It's amazing to think that I saw this cast live. Les Miz, I love you.

'Enter Mr. Darcy part 2' is on it's way to being posted, so please check back and comment if you have read part 1.

Yep, I'm guilty of the Pinterest addiction, too. :)

No way, I've totally been to one of the Bright Lights conferences--many years ago though.

Oh wow. Wooow. It blows my mind to think that that was "my" cast of Les Mis...they're so epic. I saw that performance on America's Got Talent the night it played, but watching it again was just breathtaking all over again. Thanks for sharing it. =)
