1. sharing it with my wonderful husband and 12 kids
2.homemade hot chocolate~making it and sharing it with the above.
3.snow...if we have to have cold, why not have snow and lots of it...which leads into #4
4. sledding...taking 14 people sledding, complete with hot cocoa and marshmallows is nothing short of a party

My five favorite winter things: Christmas. Hot drinks. The Christmas story. My warm bed on cold nights. Sledding. Presents. And in case the Christmas story is to close to Christmas here's a bonus one: great winter outfits.
My 5 most favorites about winter are (I love everything, these are just my 5 most faves)
1~driking hot cocoa
2~The colors
3~the waking up to frost on the ground
4~The feeling of coming out of bitter cold into toatsy warmth when entering a home.

1.The smell of a large pot of hot cocoa on the first snow fall for all 6 of my kiddos and their friends!
2. Long hot baths on a cold evening...while sipping herbal tea and reading a good book!
3. Taking an evening walk around the block with my hubby and kiddos to see the Christmas lights.
4. The teasing of the sun at the end of winter....when I very much antisipate spring! :)
5. The smell of dinner in the crock pot
(many soup nights) and warm bread cooking in the bread machine!

2. Driving around and viewing Christmas decorations in yards.
3. Attending church services with the altar beautifully decorated with seasonal flowers.
4. Live manger scenes at local churches.
5. Listening to Christmas carols while addressing Christmas cards to send to friends, relatives and those in the service.
